High School Access
A streamlined approach to open-access learning for students.
Pilot Organizations
As demand grows for students to gain real-world experience in health care settings to better inform their education and career decisions, opportunities to observe or intern in these highly regulated environments face complex requirements and limited capacity. Additionally, access to these experiences is constrained by enrollment limitations in schools.
To address these challenges, hospitals activated by the Kansas City Metropolitan Healthcare Council, along with school districts involved in Real World Learning, launched the High School Access program to streamline processes and expand access for students currently enrolled in health care pathways, as well as those in programs that have not traditionally had access to career and technical education opportunities.
The Health Care Access Program will run from January to June 2026. To learn more about the program, please complete the form below.
